Just tried to install the latest web2pdf add-on (v1.7) in Firefox 2.0.0.20 / Win98SE, replacing the old v 1.1. After downloading, installing and restarting Firefox the web2pdf button in the menu bar has disappeared, and no entry is left in the list of add-ons as well.
BTW: dragging/dropping the web2pdf from your web page button into my personal bookmark toolbar works well.
